Unfortunately, with the job market being the way it is, it is difficult to find for any new graduate (and people who have been laid off) any job. The job market for paralegals and lawyers is no different. Having said that however, there is hope to get ahead of others. If you are a fresh graduate or a lawyer that has just passed the board, working as a paralegal will help put food on the table and give you the experience that you need when you apply for a better job or a more competitive job in the future. A lot of law firms and clients are looking for lawyers with experience. They want to be able to get really good employees that require little training and supervision, but in order for you to do both, you need experience. Paralegal work is just what you will need to get experience. It requires a lot of research and paper work.
